Cirque のほぼ中央のキャンプサイトから見た Pingora と Wolf's
Head. Pingora の手前に延びる顕著なリッジが South ridge で，South
Battress (II, 5.6) は，傾斜が急になる当たりに始まり，ちょうど明
暗の境界のdihedralやフェースを登る．Pingora の光の当たっているフェー
スを登るのがPingora Southwest Face で，Left と Right のバリエー
ションが有る．さらに，大渕が1989年に誤って入ってしまった，Right
の更に右のバリエーションも有る．Wolf's Head East Ridge (III,
5.6)は坂のようなナイフリッジ(所によっては幅６０cmくらい)を登り，
その後リッジの上をトラバースするルート．同ルートは Pingora と
Wolf's Head East Ridge のつなぎ目に有るガリーか(大渕が1989年に使
用)，そこから一度盛り上がった後の最低鞍部から(矢沢，大渕，藤森が
今回使用)始める．ルートファインディングが楽しいルートである．

一際目立つ Worrior I．この岩峰には The Cirque でもっとも長い
Warrior I Northeast Face (IV, 5.9) ルートが有る．このルートは岩
峰のもっとも低い部分から始まっている．

の岩峰が有る．

とても快適なキャンプサイト．大石の上で食事．左のツェルトは物置．
熊を避けるため，食糧はスタッフサックにいれて，３０mくらい離れた
木に吊した．糞は，小さなショベルで穴を掘って埋めた．水は大石の後
ろ３mくらいを流れている雪解け水をバクテリアフィルターでこして使
用した．
